SiliCue Advanced guide

Install, update, and remove

Obtain Advanced only from silicue.com. Every release is signed with Apple Developer ID, notarized by Apple, and verified against its published SHA‑256 digest.

Compatibility

  • The app requires macOS 14 or later. This package contains both arm64 and x86_64 application slices, but the verified customer scope of this Advanced release is limited to the exact model and OS builds below.
  • Advanced battery, CPU/GPU temperature, system GPU utilization, and fan telemetry is currently validated only for Mac17,2, macOS 26, and OS build 25F84 or 25G76.
  • Current-source local-sensor validation on a physical Intel Mac is not complete; the Intel architecture does not promise Advanced sensor support in this release.
  • On any other model or OS build, private advanced sensors remain unavailable; SiliCue does not invent zero or estimated readings.
  • Fan control is absent from this package and no privileged helper is installed.

Secure installation

  1. Download SiliCue-Advanced-0.1.2-r3.zip and its SHA‑256 file only from this site.
  2. Run shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/SiliCue-Advanced-0.1.2-r3.zip in Terminal. The result must be a23275bc64d5ffcbd589a3c374c727dc9a9a5f0174b415647a63a16f8c908b2a.
  3. Open the ZIP and move SiliCue Advanced.app into /Applications.
  4. Open the app from Finder. macOS verifies the notarized Developer ID signature through the normal Gatekeeper flow.

If you see an unexpected developer, a verification error, or a different SHA‑256 value, do not run the package; report it to [email protected].

Update

The first Advanced release has no automatic updater. When a new version is published, quit SiliCue Advanced, verify the new ZIP and SHA‑256 files from this page, and replace /Applications/SiliCue Advanced.app with the newly signed app. Do not reuse an older download URL for a new release. The separate com.ibrahimkalkir.silicue.advanced identity prevents an App Store build from being installed over Advanced; the local Advanced history remains in place when the app is replaced.

Complete removal

  1. Quit SiliCue Advanced.
  2. Move /Applications/SiliCue Advanced.app to the Trash.
  3. To remove local history too, choose Go → Go to Folder in Finder and remove ~/Library/Application Support/SiliCue Advanced.
  4. Optionally revoke Wi‑Fi Location and notification permissions in macOS System Settings.

The current read-only edition installs no helper or launch daemon, so there is no separate system component to remove.

Release status
