SiliCue Advanced
A separate SiliCue experience for deeper system signals. Hardware controls remain disabled until security and real-device validation are complete.
Why a separate edition?
The App Store edition uses documented, store-compatible interfaces inside the macOS App Sandbox. Advanced uses a separate app identity and data area for deeper, model-validated read-only telemetry. This telemetry does not require a local helper or administrator approval; the helper required for fan control has not yet been added to the app.
Advanced capabilities
Current read-only telemetry
- Battery temperature, voltage, signed current, and derived power flow.
- CPU and GPU sensor-group hotspot, average, and sensor-count values.
- System-wide GPU utilization percentage.
- Fan actual, target, minimum, and maximum RPM, plus automatic or manual state.
These fields are read only when the exact Mac model, macOS major version, and reviewed OS build match. The Mac model identifier and OS build number are used locally only for compatibility matching; the Advanced telemetry providers do not read serial number, manufacturer, unique device identifier, user path, or network identity fields from the sensor registries, and they do not upload measurements from the Mac. An unsupported, incomplete, or invalid value remains unavailable. Numeric CPU/GPU temperature is offered only on the Mac17,2, macOS 26, and OS build 25F84 or 25G76 combinations as sensor-group hotspot and average values; it is not presented as one Apple-official chip temperature.
Protection architecture
- A separate app identity, feature boundaries, and local data area from the App Store package.
- Before future fan control is implemented, a narrowly scoped helper and caller authentication that accept only permitted operations.
- Supported Mac model, macOS version, and safe-return checks.
- Apple Developer ID signing, Hardened Runtime, and Apple notarization.
- SHA‑256 file integrity and an Apple signature reverified for every release.
Compatibility policy
Read-only telemetry is enabled only when the validated model, macOS major version, and OS build match. The currently validated records are Mac17,2, macOS 26, and OS build 25F84 or 25G76; every other combination remains unavailable. Fan control is not currently enabled. In the future it may appear only for a Mac model and macOS version with a completed physical-safety matrix. SiliCue shows an unavailable state instead of a fabricated zero.
Security policy
- Future permission is requested only after the user starts the corresponding Advanced feature.
- The helper will reject arbitrary commands, file paths, and raw hardware addresses.
- Fan control cannot run beyond 15 minutes or without a live connection lease.
- App exit, sleep, error, connection loss, or timeout requires a return to macOS management.
- Health measurements stay on the device by default.
Distribution and verification
SiliCue Advanced 0.1 (2) is the verified direct-download release, signed with Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple. Advanced sensor compatibility in this release is limited to Mac17,2, macOS 26, and OS build 25F84 or 25G76. It does not include fan control.

The first release has no automatic updater. Every update is manually verified and installed as a complete, newly signed and notarized package.
