SiliCue Terms of Use

Last updated: August 2, 2026

Applicable license agreement

Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies to SiliCue distributed through the App Store. This page explains functional and service boundaries and does not replace Apple’s license agreement.

Scope of service

SiliCue provides local system measurements, trend analysis, and explanatory preliminary assessments about a Mac. It is not a medical product, safety system, or authorized technical service.

Measurement and recommendation limits

Sensors that macOS does not expose through public interfaces are not presented as measured. Results do not guarantee that a hardware fault is present or absent. If you notice a swollen battery, liquid exposure, a burning smell, or unexpected shutdowns, stop using the device and contact an authorized service provider.

Per-app battery impact is a probabilistic indicator based on correlating the foreground app with system-wide resource and total power measurements over time after explicit consent. It is not a per-app watt reading or direct energy-consumption measurement.

Wi-Fi physical link speed is not internet subscription speed. The internet speed test measures approximate capacity at that moment; Wi-Fi conditions, the router, VPN, network congestion, server distance, and the internet provider can change the result.

Free release

The first App Store release is free and does not offer an in-app purchase or subscription. All current features in this release are available at no charge. If paid features are introduced later, the terms and store information will be updated separately.

Third-party marks

Apple, macOS, Mac, and related marks are trademarks of Apple Inc. SiliCue is not sponsored or endorsed by Apple.
