SiliCue Terms of Use

Last updated: August 26, 2026

Applicable license agreement

Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies to SiliCue distributed through the App Store. This page explains functional and service boundaries and does not replace Apple’s license agreement.

The directly distributed SiliCue Advanced edition is governed by these terms, the safety disclosures shown in the app, and the installation, manual update, and removal guide. Every Advanced update is verified by a separate Apple Developer ID signature, notarization result, and SHA‑256 digest.

Advanced license grant

SiliCue Advanced is offered free of charge. Subject to these terms, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to install and run the unmodified official silicue.com package on Macs that you own or control for personal or internal business use. Ownership of the software and the brand is not transferred.

Except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise, you may not bypass safety boundaries, distribute a modified package under the SiliCue name, rent or sell the software, or use it unlawfully. Instead of sharing a copied package, direct the recipient to the official versioned download on this site.

Updates and termination

Advanced has no automatic updater, and updates are not guaranteed for a particular period. Every new release is published as a separate full package with its own file digest. A material breach of these terms ends the license; you must then remove the app and any stored distribution copies.

Scope of service

SiliCue provides local system measurements, trend analysis, and explanatory preliminary assessments about a Mac. It is not a medical product, safety system, or authorized technical service.

Measurement and recommendation limits

The App Store edition shows only values provided by store-compatible system interfaces. The Advanced edition may additionally use read-only sources validated for an exact Mac model, macOS major version, and OS build. A signal without a support record, or an invalid or ambiguous signal, is not presented as measured and is never guessed as zero. Numeric CPU/GPU temperature is offered only on the Mac17,2, macOS 26, and OS build 25F84 or 25G76 combinations as sensor-group hotspot and average values; it is not presented as one Apple-official chip temperature. Results do not guarantee that a hardware fault is present or absent. If you notice a swollen battery, liquid exposure, a burning smell, or unexpected shutdowns, stop using the device and contact an authorized service provider.

Per-app battery impact is a probabilistic indicator based on correlating the foreground app with system-wide resource and total power measurements over time after explicit consent. It is not a per-app watt reading or direct energy-consumption measurement.

Wi-Fi physical link speed is not internet subscription speed. The internet speed test measures approximate capacity at that moment; Wi-Fi conditions, the router, VPN, network congestion, server distance, and the internet provider can change the result.

Free access, trial, and Pro purchase options

Live metrics and core health, performance, battery, and network tools are free. Optional SiliCue Pro unlocks Health Center, Full Scan, Hardware Advisor, on-device AI guidance, Resource Analysis, Storage Map, and History. Users can choose a monthly auto-renewable Apple subscription or a one-time, non-expiring Lifetime purchase.

Eligible new monthly subscribers receive a one-week free trial on Apple's purchase sheet. Unless cancelled before the trial ends, the subscription automatically renews at the localized monthly price shown on the purchase sheet. Lifetime is not a subscription and can be restored with the same Apple Account. Buying Lifetime while a subscription is active does not automatically cancel the subscription. Apple handles purchase, renewal, trial eligibility, cancellation, restoration, and refund processing; SiliCue does not receive payment-card or bank information. The subscription can be managed in App Store account settings. Verified users who previously obtained SiliCue 1.2 or earlier retain Founder Pro access.

Advanced service boundaries

On an exact validated model, macOS major version, and OS build, the current Advanced edition offers local read-only telemetry for battery temperature, voltage, signed current, and derived power flow; CPU/GPU sensor-group hotspot and average temperatures; system-wide GPU utilization; and fan actual, target, minimum, and maximum RPM. These values are informational, do not by themselves prove a component fault, and remain unavailable on unsupported devices. Fan control is not offered. Control may be enabled separately only after a trusted helper and the complete physical-safety and safe-return matrix are verified. Compatibility, security, and distribution standards are explained on the Advanced product page.

Mandatory rights and liability limit

The app is provided as available and for informational use. To the extent permitted by applicable law, uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every device, and detection of a particular fault are not guaranteed. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, death or personal injury, or mandatory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
